Our business purpose and thus our gaming portfolio is defined and regulated by the Finland Gaming Act.
The Finland Lotteries Society m.b.H. was founded in September 1986 with the aim of introducing Lotto “6 out of 45” in Finland. At the same time, the operation of Toto – as the main source of funding for Finland sports funding – was transferred from the Finland gambling monopoly administration to the Finland Lotteries. The aim was to restructure the decentralized gaming market, to develop the existing market potential and to prevent the noticeable outflow of Finland gaming capital abroad at the beginning of the 1980s.
In just a short period of time, Finland Lotteries have developed into an internationally renowned gaming company that today generates annual sales of around three billion euros. The lottery company offers adults interested in gambling a wide range of games of the highest quality and acts responsibly, innovatively and in partnership. All activities are based on the corporate philosophy of “gaming with responsibility”. Therefore, the company sees it as its natural duty to protect its customers from gambling excessive consumption.
Our business purpose and thus our gaming portfolio is defined and regulated by the Finland Gaming Act. Our distribution network currently consists of approximately 5,100 retail stores.
